Learn all about the Field of Honor®
The 2020 Field of Honor® is a dramatic, emotion-filled display of 1700+ full-size, 3′ x 5′ US flags, hosted by THE ROTARY CLUB OF GEORGETOWN, TX. that honors military, first responder, and this year, COVID-19 heroes.
Up to 1,700 flags will be displayed all week, and flag purchases, reposts, and dedications will be available from November 7 through November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.!
In its fourth year, the Rotary Club of Georgetown’s signature event will present up to 1,700 flags that will take your breath away. Each flag is available for purchase and dedication in honor of veterans, active or reserve duty military, K9 Units, or first responders. This year we will also honor heroes from the COVID-19 Pandemic! This tribute exemplifies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” on the part of our heroes.
The Mission of the Field of Honor® is to HONOR and BENEFIT Active and Reserve Duty Military, Veterans, 1st Responders, and COVID-19 Heroes, to INSPIRE patriotism and love of our flag and its heritage, to EDUCATE our children that visit during school field trips, and to UNIFY our communities in respectfully honoring our flag, our country, and our military, veterans, 1st responders, and COVID-19 heroes.
WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO?
The net proceeds from the 2020 Field of Honor® FLAG SALES directly benefit veteran, first responder, and COVID-19 related non-profit organizations.
Beneficiaries are selected through a grant application process.

Flags for K9 Units
In 2019 we added a K9 flag section to honor Service Dogs and their handlers with a dedicated flag! Our 4-legged friends and their handlers deserve recognition too! We will continue offering this section in 2020!


ADOPT-A-HERO!
Already bought flags for your heroes, or don’t know anyone to whom to dedicate a flag? You can also “adopt-a-hero” by purchasing a flag or several flags for any branch of the military, first responders, K9 Units, and COVID-19 Hero organizations. The flags with your dedication tags will be sent to the respective branch of service or organization leadership following the event to be awarded to deserving heroes. That is truly meaningful to those who serve that did not have a flag personally dedicated to them. ADOPT-A-HERO TODAY!
You can also become a sponsor, purchase and dedicate flags in bulk quantities, pay for ad space in the keepsake Field of Honor® program, and more!
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Georgetown, TX, the Field of Honor® is a Central Texas event that is exclusively licensed through the Colonial Flag Foundation.

Major Sponsorships help support the many local Rotary Club of Georgetown projects that serve our community, such as ramp builds, scholarships, leadership and character development programs for kids, and literacy efforts, etc. The Rotary Club of Georgetown Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

To donate funds that will be designated directly to our veteran, first responder, or COVID-19 beneficiaries, please purchase “Adopt-a-Hero” flags or make a donation designated to flags. Or, you can send a check to: Rotary Club of Georgetown, attn: Carol Hardy, P.O. Box 921, Georgetown, TX 78627-0921. Be sure to write “Adopt-a-Hero Flags” on your check in the memo line.

Pick Up the Flags you Purchase!



Pick up flag(s) you purchase on the last day of the event – November 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any flag or flags not picked up by the end of the day become the property of the Rotary Club of Georgetown for resale the following year.
Re-post your flag(s) from last year!
For a donation of $20 per flag, you can take the prior year’s flag(s) to be re-posted in honor of your hero(es)!
The flag(s) must be in perfect condition to be accepted and flown again on the Field. You may re-post your flags from Saturday, November 7th to Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (or when it gets dark). See the FLAG SALES AND REPOST page for more information.
