Flags for Equestrian Heroes

Honoring Equestrian Heroes, and their Handlers

Honor an Equestrian Hero with a flag as well! Throughout history, military equestrian units have been used in warfare. Recently, we honored Fort Hood’s 1st Cavalry Division by including them in the Parade of Colors, and we included a section of flags to honor horses that serve our country and our communities in law enforcement as well. Law enforcement, such as Sheriff, Police and Fire departments, DEA, Border Patrol, Constable, DPS and others have all used horses that assist in a variety of ways – many of them very dangerous situations. Those equestrian heroes and that of the military deserve recognition with a flag on the Field of Honor®.

Additionally, Equine therapy has long served to encourage physical, cognitive, and emotional rehabilitation, providing veterans and first responders, as well as children and adults with disabilities, to help to reclaim their independence, confidence, and strength. Honoring these heroes with a flag is another way to say thank you to them and their handlers.

Designate a flag to fly in the special K9/Equestrian section of the field!
