Field Of Honor® Volunteer Sign Up – Greeters

Greeters – This position is great for those who are active, like to be moving, and enjoy interacting with, and meeting new people. Docents actively welcome visitors to the Field of Honor®, direct visitors to flag ordering stations in the sales tent, hand out programs, provide information about the week’s events and activities, and help visitors with general information and direction to various exhibits and displays. Docents should also ensure that all visitors receive a program, help seat people during events. Assist when additional Docents are needed to take visitors to their flag(s).

This role requires volunteers to stand and walk around the field as needed throughout the shift. Excellent interpersonal skills are needed to help visitors feel welcome. Must learn a variety of information to provide assistance to visitors, and must be able to use a cell phone to help provide flag location to visitors.
